Automatic insertion of signatures into documents

Modified on Tue, 15 Sep at 12:05 PM

When multiple documents are being sent for signing that are to be signed by the same responsible person, bulk or automatic signature insertion comes in handy.

⚠️ Automatic signature insertion only works if the proposer signs first.

For automatic signature insertion, the following must be met:

  1. The person whose signature is to be inserted automatically has an account set up in Signi.
  2. They have access to the workspace where the document is to be signed automatically, with the right to sign.
  3. They have saved their signature in their account settings, which is to be inserted into documents.
  4. In the Workspace settings, where the signature is to be inserted automatically, Automatic signature insertion is checked.
  5. In the same place, the Place field is filled in with the location where the signing took place — in Czech in the locative case, e.g. „Praze" (the document then displays „V Praze").

If any of these conditions are not met, the signature will not be inserted automatically.

At the given moment, Signi allows automatic signature insertion in two cases:

  • In the Signi user interface, the signature of the author of the document proposal — i.e. the person who uploaded the document to Signi — can be inserted automatically. They must be listed first in the signing scenario as a representative of the proposer.
  • When submitting a document via the Signi API, anyone with the right to sign in the given workspace can be in the role of the automatically signing party — see Automatic signature of the proposer in the API documentation.
