Extension of expiry date

Modified on Tue, 11 Jun at 2:17 PM

If the expiry date of the draft document is approaching and someone has not yet signed it, you can extend the document.

Similarly, it is possible to prepare the document for signature again if the expiry date has passed.

The time limit for signing has not yet expired

The first possibility is that the proposal has not yet expired and it is sufficient to extend its validity.

The time for signing has already expired

However, it may also be the case that the deadline for signing the draft document has already passed, i.e. it has already expired.

What can be done with an expired document:

  • An expired document can only be deleted by its author via Delete Document. If he deletes an expired document, a credit is added back to the workspace owner's account. Not necessarily the author of the document.

  • On an expired document, the author can select Edit Document and have the document resubmitted for signature. In this case, no further credit is deducted. The application will redirect you to the Document Contents point where you can re-sign the document or send it to the counterparty for signature.

The ability to delete or edit a document on an expired document. Only the author of the document has it.

After Edit, the document switches to the Document Contents state, where you can select Continue to Sign and invoke the entire signing process again.
