If recipients are not receiving SMS messages with the PIN code, there may be several causes. To help you resolve the situation, we have prepared the following guide:
Recommended steps to resolve the problem
1.1 Restart the phone
Sometimes a simple device restart helps resolve minor issues with SMS delivery. After restarting, try sending the SMS with the PIN code again.
1.2 Checking the spam SMS filter on Android
SMS messages may be mistakenly marked as spam and placed in the "Spam & blocked conversations" folder. To check, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Messages app.
- Tap your profile icon or the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select Spam & blocked conversations.
For more information on the settings, see the Google support for Android.
1.3 Checking the unknown senders filter on iOS
On Apple devices, messages from unknown senders may be filtered. To check, follow these steps:
- Open the Messages app.
- Go to the Filters section.
- Check the Unknown Senders folder.
For more information, see the Apple support.
1.4 Contact your carrier
If the message cannot be delivered, we recommend contacting the recipient's carrier and asking them to investigate:
Check whether SMS messages from internet gateways are being blocked.
The carrier can help determine whether the message was delivered and where the problem may have occurred.
