Unable to upload a file

Modified on Mon, 17 Jun at 7:17 PM

At Signi, we strive to provide users with a seamless and efficient digital signature experience. However, there may be situations where users encounter difficulties when uploading files to our platform. This article aims to address the common reasons why users may experience problems uploading files and provides steps to troubleshoot these issues.

Supported file types:

Signi supports a variety of file formats to accommodate different document types. Currently supported file formats include:

  • PDF
  • DOCX
  • XLSX
  • ODT
  • ODF
  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • PNG

Reasons why files cannot be uploaded:

  1. Unsupported file format: users may encounter difficulties uploading files if the format is not supported. Make sure the file is in one of the supported formats listed above. If the file is in a different format, consider converting it to a compatible format before uploading.
  2. Digitally sealed files: files that are digitally sealed or encrypted cannot be uploaded to Signi . Digital sealing or encryption alters the contents of a file in a way that prevents it from being edited or signed using our platform. Users should ensure that a file has not been digitally sealed or encrypted before attempting to upload it.

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Verify file format: Before uploading a file, double-check its format to ensure it is one of the supported file types listed above. If the file is not in a supported format, consider converting it to a compatible format using appropriate software tools.
  2. Check digital seals: if you encounter problems uploading a file, verify that the file is digitally sealed or encrypted. Users can check the digital seals through the file properties in, for example, Adobe Acrobat or consult the document author.
  3. Contact Support: If none of the troubleshooting steps work, you can contact support at help@signi.com for further assistance. Provide detailed information about the problem, including any error messages, to speed up the troubleshooting process.
