Verification from the verified person's perspective

This article describes what the person being verified will see and do — the counterparty on a document or the contact you sent a verification to. It's useful when you want to explain in advance to the verified person what to expect.

Step by step

1. Invitation e-mail — the verified person receives an e-mail from Signi with a link. For a document, it's the same invitation as for signing, only with a note that identity verification will happen first.
2. Choosing the verification method — if you offered two verification groups, they choose one (e.g. "bank identity" or "ID document and selfie").
3. Going through the checks according to the chosen group — in the order set in the group; each component has its own screen:
   • ID document + Liveness — they photograph the front and back of the ID document and take a selfie with a short movement in front of the camera. Best done on a mobile phone — they get a link or QR code that transfers the verification to it.
   • BankID — they select their bank and log in as they would to internet banking; they confirm sharing their data.
   • Verification micropayment — a QR code / payment details are shown; they send a symbolic payment from their account.
   • Questionnaire — they read the text and confirm by ticking a box.
   • Sanctions list check — runs in the background, the verified person does nothing.
4. Done — the verified person sees a confirmation that they submitted the verification for review. They can only sign after your approval; they receive an e-mail with a link to sign.

What if the verified person declines

The verified person can decline the verification (with a reason given). The verification ends in the Declined status and you'll see the reason in its detail — then it's up to you whether to offer them another group or handle the document differently.

What if they don't finish it

The verification stays in the Verification in progress status. You can Resend the invitation from the document or contact detail — the link remains valid.
