Signi operation modes

Modified on Wed, 12 Jun at 2:55 PM

There are many different options to choose from when operating a company's information system today. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, it suits companies with different needs, it is more or less expensive, it may or may not be well scalable when changing the size of the company and its agenda, etc. None of the options is a priori better or worse, it is only more or less suitable for a particular company in a particular situation.

Signi is able to operate in your IT environment in a variety of modes:

Signs and information in the company

Signi is a cloud service that serves as a "hub" for electronic legal transactions - electronic identification, signing and archiving.

The goal is always to leverage these methods in your processes so that users can get their "job done" with a minimum of clicks.

For this purpose, there are two variants of Signi deployment in an organization - "direct" i.e. through its Signi user interface and connected or "interconnected" i.e. integratable with any application such as ERP, CRM, HR, SCM, DMS, BPM, etc.

Signi used separately

  • The easiest and fastest way you can have.

  • During the one hour onboarding session we will explain and set up everything you need with you.

  • You don't have to burden your IT with it.

Signi integrated by other applications - one or two way

  • Hide Signi in the application you are using, where you just add a button or item "Send for signature"

  • We already have connections for different environments, we will be happy to create more for you.

  • From a security point of view, it is essential that the connection to SIGNI can be one-way or two-way:

  • With two-way communication between your application and Signi - Signi contacts your application with requests, and Signi actively calls your application back - the moment a document is closed, rejected or expired it immediately informs it of the change. However, the prerequisite is that the application is accessible from the internet.

  • With one-way communication between the application and Signi - only the application accesses the Internet, not the other way around, which is less challenging from a security perspective. In that case, at an appropriate time, e.g. when opening a detail record in the application and/or periodically once every X minutes/hours/days, Signi will check the status of the documents and download the document if it is closed.

Signi used in combination

  • Signi is a cloud service with a user interface, so you can start using it immediately after setting up your account.

  • It adds double value when integrated with an application, where signatures are called up by users directly from the application they normally use.

  • Combine the two modes, using Signi directly for part of the agenda and part via the integrated application.

Signi in "Minimum exposure outside" mode

  • Sometimes customers come in with the urgent need for "on premise" operation.

  • When we talk to them, we often come to the conclusion that they mainly need their documents not to be outside the company's IT infrastructure for a long period of time, or only to be there for as long as necessary.

  • And/or they need to minimize any access to the corporate infrastructure from the outside.

  • When someone outside the company has to sign a document, logically the document must be accessible from the outside at least for that period of time.

  • This is what Signi in this mode corresponds to.

Signi operated "ON-PREMISE" or in the customer's environment e.g. "private MS Azure"

Sometimes on premise is simply a necessity. No problem, deployment is possible in two variants:

  • ON PREMISE on your own hardware - we will be happy to discuss with you the specification of the requirements for running the Signi container as well as the services that will need to be arranged - email server, SMS gateway (if SMS is used for notifications and/or signatory identity verification), optional time stamp service, etc.

  • In the customer's private environment in MS Azure - Standard cloud Signi runs on MS Azure , it can also be deployed in the user's private MS Azure environment where it is dedicated exclusively for their documents.
