General - Re-signing an incoming partially signed document in paper form

Progress

  • You will receive an extra paper document already signed by the counterparty. But you want to have the agenda fully digitized. What to do?

  • You can scan the document, put the scanned PDF into Signi, have it signed electronically by a representative of your organization, and have Signi deliver it to the counterparty either for download or for countersigning also electronically.

  • The advantage of the latter is that in the event of a dispute, the expert witness has not only a scanned handwritten signature on paper, but also an electronic signature with the relevant metadata.

Signing scenario

  • Signed by a representative of your organisation , the document goes to the counterparty on the Acknowledgement - i.e. as soon as your representative signs, the closed document is also sent to the counterparty.

  • Alternatively, the representative of your organization signs and then the counterparty whose signature is then also signed twice on the documents once as a scanned signature, the second time as an electronic signature with the appropriate audit trail.

A scenario where the scanned document is signed by a representative of your organization and the counterparty receives the final signed document.
