Leaving Signi users from your organisation

When a team member who had access to Signi leaves the organization, it's important to take appropriate actions in Signi.


If someone leaving the organization had access to Signi using their company email address (e.g., name.surname@company.com), you should:

  • BEFORE deleting their email account, change their password in Signi immediately to prevent access to documents. To reset the password, you'll need access to their email inbox to receive the password reset link.


We are preparing a set of Signi features for companies, which will allow users of the main Signi account or users with administrative rights to revoke access to user accounts in the format human@company.com.


If a person leaving the organization had access to the administrative account in Signi, it is necessary to:

  • immediately change the password of the administrative account in Signi, regardless of the email account used, whether it is of the type name.surname@company.com or the generic signi@company.com,

  • disable their access to emails or at least exclude them from the email group like signi@company.com, so they cannot change the password to the administrative account.


It's perfectly fine if a person leaves the organization but still has access to certain documents, such as their employment contract. These documents should be signed in Signi as a counterparty using their private email. Therefore, even after leaving your organization, they will have access to the original document in their private email and potentially in their folder on Signi if they create an account using their private email address.

However, documents signed in the capacity of a authorized representative of your organization should remain accessible to you after their departure. Therefore, related documents in Signi should be signed under an account created with the organization's email address, either as the proposer or the counterparty. You should
