⚠️ Deletion is irreversible. A deleted document and its signatures cannot be recovered in any way. Download completed documents before deleting them.
There are two endpoints for deletion — they differ in what remains afterwards.
Unfinished document (draft, pending…)
curl -X DELETE -H "x-api-key: VAS_API_KLIC" \
https://api.signi.com/api/v1/contract/ID_DOKUMENTU
It cancels the sent signing invitations and deletes the document completely — including the envelope and all metadata. Nothing remains of the document.
Closed document (completed)
A closed document cannot be deleted completely — the first endpoint returns the error "A closed contract cannot be deleted!". Use:
curl -X DELETE -H "x-api-key: VAS_API_KLIC" \
https://api.signi.com/api/v2/contract/ID_DOKUMENTU/delete
What is returned:
{ "status": "ok" }
Only the document PDF is deleted. The envelope and audit trail are always preserved — so a record remains that the legal act took place.
